CASE Construction Equipment, a leading name in India’s infrastructure sector, has launched Project Shilpi, a training initiative for unemployed youth. The program focuses on building technical skills for careers in construction equipment servicing.

A Clear Goal: Skilled Youth for a Growing Industry

India's infrastructure sector is growing fast. This growth demands skilled workers, especially in equipment maintenance. CASE responds with a three-month program that helps youth gain practical knowledge and industry exposure.

Trainees learn in stages:

  • A boot camp introduces the program and its expectations.
  • Online modules deliver 26 hours of theory.
  • In workshops, students complete 520 hours of hands-on learning.
  • A third-party team assesses the trainees before certification.

The goal is clear: make trainees job-ready for roles in construction and commercial vehicle servicing.

Real Impact Through Targeted Training

Kavita Sah, CSR Head at CNH India, said the program supports young people and fills a key industry gap. “We want to prepare youth for real jobs and support inclusive growth,” she said.

The program aligns with the Skill India Mission and supports the United Nations SDGs, especially Goal 8 (decent work) and Goal 10 (reduced inequality).

The training covers technical work but also focuses on soft skills. Safety, tool use, customer interaction, and basic diagnostics are all part of the course. This blend of skills reflects the real needs of field service.

CASE Equipment: Strong Roots, Stronger Commitment

CASE has operated in India since 1989. It leads in backhoe loaders and vibratory compactors. With Project Shilpi, the brand now strengthens its service reach by investing in human capital.

Recruitment focuses on youth aged 18 and above. Applicants should hold ITI certificates or diplomas. CASE partners with rural communities to reach candidates with limited access to opportunities.

Supporting Industry with Skilled Talent

India needs a workforce that understands commercial vehicles and construction tools. CASE builds this workforce by keeping training relevant, hands-on, and aligned with real job demands.

Graduates from this program are prepared for roles in both small repair shops and large dealerships. They can work with CASE machines or other brands — making the program both focused and flexible.

Conclusion

Project Shilpi shows CASE’s long-term vision. It helps India’s youth while supporting the backbone of infrastructure — the construction equipment industry. By keeping training practical and industry-focused, CASE ensures its impact is real, measurable, and lasting.
